1 Overview

An eCourse is a structure that holds information of any kind usually for the purposes of training or operational support.

bxp is not an authoring tool. It does not make videos or draw pictures. It is a Learning Management System (LMS) for managing content and users.

bxp follows international standards in construction, specifically SCORM. SCORM has a number of versions.

To understand the concept, the information is stored in roughly the structure of Book, Chapter and Page.

Each page can be likened to a clear plastic folder. A page can contain any amount of information in a broad range of formats, from text to images, audio recordings, multimedia, PDF documents, Word Documents or almost anything else you care to upload.

2 How to build an eCourse

2.1 Create a Book

To build your first eCourse you need two modules. The first is eCourse Management 048.png. This will allow you to do all the building and security.

After you press the "Create Book" button you will be re-directed to the eCourse console. From here, you an quickly add chapters, pages and media to your eCourse.
