bxp software (bxp) has the ability to retrieve emails from an email box and turn them into data records (CDAs) for processing.
As the emails are retrieved it is possible to apply rules to these emails.
Content Rules are the set of rules used to interrogate the data in an email and strip out what is required from that content. You can have as many rules as you like and trial and error usually dictate how effective your rules are.
There are three processes available Single Id matching, Content Retrieval and Content Replacement. Each have a different focus.
* Content Continue matching allows the system to identify a unique numeric identifier in the content so that the incoming email can be appended to an existing suite of communications BEmail_Content_Continue
* Content Retrieval allows fields of information to be pulled out of the body of the material and stored in different fields in the record BEmail_Content_Retrieval
* Content Replacement allows material in the incoming email to be replaced. BEmail_Content_Replacement
