1 Overview

An eCourse is a structure that holds information of any kind usually for the purposes of training or operational support.

bxp is not an authoring tool. It does not make videos or draw pictures. It is a Learning Management System (LMS) for managing content and users.

bxp follows international standards in construction, specifically SCORM. SCORM has a number of versions.

To understand the concept, the information is stored in roughly the structure of Book, Chapter and Page.

Each page can be likened to a clear plastic folder. A page can contain any amount of information in a broad range of formats, from text to images, audio recordings, multimedia, PDF documents, Word Documents or almost anything else you care to upload.

2 How to build an eCourse

When you scroll to the bottom and click "Create Book" you'll be presented with a number of options, choose "Add a Chapter to this Book"

There are File:auth add.png icons to the right of the books and chapter levels. A File:auth add.png at a book level will quickly add a chapter. A File:auth add.png at a chapter level will quickly add a page.

Every book you create will automatically be searchable in the eCourse Search at the bottom right of every page of bxp.

Firstly let's add some content to our page.

2.5 Adding Content to a Page
