1 Overview

1.1 Introduction

bxp software (bxp) is an exceptionally flexible platform and we delight in seeing how it used and grown by clients. Sometimes there comes occasion where a tweak, new function or new project warrants change in a system. So there needs to be a formal structure and approach to how this development and change is managed.

We need to start by defining events that can happen.

  • Content Development
  • Framework Development
  • Training
  • Security
  • Support

The next important thing is to define what is billable and what is not billable.

For each of the above combinations, we provide worked examples below.

1.2 Initial System hours

When a client starts with their new system they can be at different levels of experience, knowledge and comfort. For this reason we afford a generous amount of initial time which can be applied in whatever way the client would like. All n One closely record all of the time spent so there is an accurate record always available. This is done through the Time and Working Hour tracking module of bxp.

After the initial hours have been used further hours can be purchased and applied as the client requires.

1.3 Development Approach

Based on a business model of fairness, change has benefits for one or both sides of the arrangement. We reflect this in our pricing models.

  • If the development will only benefit you, then the price will be borne wholly by you.
  • If the development has direct identified benefit for other clients, then All n One will propose a 50:50 development share. For this All n One assume 50% of the development cost and you pay the other 50%.

We log all our good ideas and suggestions from clients and this put onto our future development list. Those ideas will be developed in time at no cost but the delay can be up to two years and paid client development work will always be prioritised.

1.4 Rates

Our hourly rate from 2008 through 2014 is €75 per hour.

In order to keep costs lower especially if numerous project hours will be required, All n One offer block hour purchasing. Block hours must be purchased before work commences.

Hours Cost Total Cost per hour Saving
10 699.00 69.90 7%
25 1699.00 67.96 10%
50 3249.00 64.98 13%
10 5999.00 59.99 21%

From Jan 1 2015, this price will be increasing.

2 Events

2.1 Content Development

Content is anything that can be loaded, created or changed through the bxp interface. Any of this work can be done by you. For any reason you need All n One to do the work for you, this is called Content Development.

Examples of Content Development include:

  • Building Forms
  • Building eCourses
  • Creating eCourse content
  • Adding users
  • Loading data into forms
  • Fixing custom made JavaScript

All work of this type is charged per hour or part there of.

  • If you add content yourself, this is not billable.
  • If you request All n One to add content for you, this is billable.
