It is possible to add, edit and interact with records externally to bxp software.  There are very strict controls and options on enabling this kind of interaction.  Please ensure that you understand the options and security ramifications of your choices before changing options in this section.

1 Introduction

Note that the Form default option is to prevent external access


Your form can only be accessed through functions in the bxp API bxp_API


2 Enabling external access

In order to enable bxp API access to your form.


Main Menu > Form Management > Form - Primary Management > Form - Advanced Settings > Choose your form > External


Externally available: Private means no bxp API access. Public means bxp API access. Public access still requires a user account that has been IP restricted and granted access to the form to work.


Public Outcome: When a record is logged from externally an Outcome can be triggered. If the outcome has communications these too will be performed. MetaData and other systems integrations functions will also operate.
