It is possible to turn existing forms into Quality Forms. This effort should not be taken lightly, as the new features and question types lend themselves to starting afresh with a clean approach. However for scripts that have seen a lot of effort go into their design, and may / may not have data already in them, this process is ideal in the preservation of data and effort.

1 Step 1 - Form Type

The first step is to change the type of the form to Quality. This is changed in the primary options of the Form.

Main Menu > Form Management > Form - Primary Management > Form - Edit > Choose your form > From the console on the left choose "Primary Options". > From the "Type" drop down list on the right choose "Quality". Click "Update Primary Settings"

N.B. If you are using the console for this change, you have to close the console and reopen it. This allows BE to display the Quality Assurance options in the console.

2 Step 2 - Add a complex Quality Header block

The second step is to a complex question type Quality Header. This is automatically added on new form creation but must be added manually when converting from another Form type. Please note once the type is added it cannot be removed. This type adds 15 fields to your form. See Form_Quality_Header for more information.

Main Menu > Form Management > Form - Primary Management > Form - Edit > Choose your form > From the console on the left choose "Question Addition". > From the "Question Type" drop down list on the right choose "Complex - Quality Header" [it's pretty much the very last one]. Type "Quality Header" into the "Question" box. Click "Add Question"

3 Step 3 - Point the Form settings at the Quality Header

The third step is to change the Quality Options of the form to point at the new block. This allows BE to find the block no matter the order it appears in the form.

Main Menu > Form Management > Form - Primary Management > Form - Edit > Choose your form > From the console on the left choose "Quality Options". > The default settings will be loaded, simply scroll to the bottom and click "Update Quality Settings".
