Time Tracker - Reporting Total Time by Security Group

1 Overview

This report provides a more traditional time sheet view by a group of people rather than by work or project.


Main Menu > Time Tracker > Reporting > Total Time by Security Group

2 Options

The first screen requires you to choose a time period.

Below this it requires you to select a Security Group. More information on Security Groups can be found here. Organogram_with_Group_Profiling


There are two optional filters available on this report as well.


  • Filter by Project: Whilst including all entries for the time period and the group of people selected, only time logged against the specifically selected project will be reported on. For more information on Projects Module_-_Project_Manager


  • Filter by WorkType: Whilst including all entries for the time period and the group of people selected, only time logged against the specifically selected worktypes will be reported on. For more information on WorkTypes WorkType_in_bxp


3 Output

The report displays as above.


These fields show

  • Date period from and included
  • Date period to
  • Security Group used to define which people were include
  • If a project filter is used, it will appear below Security Group
  • If a worktype filter is used, it will appear here


3.2 Data Fields

  • The first column lists the user name and their Id number in bxp in [] after the name.
  • Next is a button which opens in a new tab / window a detailed analysis of that person for that period. This report is the same as using Main Menu > Time Tracker > Reporting > Total Time by Person, for just that individual for the same period.
  • Total Time (Hours) is the total amount of time logged for the period in minutes / 60 and rounded to 1 decimal place.
  • Billable Time (Hours) is the total amount of time logged for the period in minutes / 60 and rounded to 1 decimal place where the entry was ticked as "Billable" work.
  • Non-working Time (Hours) is the total amount of time logged for the period in minutes / 60 and rounded to 1 decimal place where the entry was NOT ticked as "Billable" work.
  • Personal time is the total amount of time logged for the period in minutes / 60 and rounded to 1 decimal place where the entry was ticked as "Personal" work.
  • Unique days are the total amount of unique days in the period in which entries were logged for that person
  • Average hours per day is the total amount of time logged for the period in minutes / 60 and rounded to 1 decimal place, divided by the number of Unique Days and rounded to 2 decimal places.


3.3 Summary Line

  • Total Hours is the summative value of all the time logged in minutes / 60
  • Total billable is the summative value of all the time logged in minutes / 60 where billable was ticked
  • Total non working is the summative value of all the time logged in minutes / 60 where billable was NOT ticked
  • Total personal is the summative value of all the time logged in minutes / 60 where personal was ticked
