Form - Data Clean - Orphan CDA records

1 Overview
In a form it is possible to link forms using the Form Search and Form Listing types. Form_-_Cross_Linked_setup
However you can end up that some records are not linked to their parent. If a record does not have a linking Id but should have, these are referred to as "orphan" records.
The linking engine simply keeps an Id number in the child field. e.g. If the parent company is Id 1, then all of the contacts, would have the Id of 1 in that field in the child form.
If a child record has a value of NULL or 0, then it is not linked. This is an orphan record.
When using the search engine of bxp the system ignores blank fields or NULL fields making normal searching impossible to use to find orphan records.
The orphan search allows you select specific fields and to return all the fields that are null or have 0 in them, i.e. the reverse of the normal search engine.
The results displayed can be used as :
- a normal search
- sent to the data analytics reporting engine in Data Profiling.
2 Usage
To use the engine Main Menu > Data Profiling > Instant - Data > Data - Blank and Orphan Records > Choose the Form > Choose the field and options
