Form - Attachments Bar

1 Overview

A form allows for attachments (CCLs) to be added to a record (CDAs). CC-1-3_Introduction_to_the_Blended_Form_Structure#Form_Structure

Also when using the BEmail engine, attachments to emails are managed by bxp as well.

Historically these attachments are stored in the "contact history" button and only accessible through the pop up window and scrolling through the historical contacts.

To speed up access to these attachment and with advances in the RTF-2-PDF engine getting easier access to attachments is useful. RTF_Templates_for_Outcomes

This is where the "Attachments Bar" comes in.

2 The Attachments Bar

The attachments bar provides a scrolling wide bar to allow you to see the uploaded documents to a record without the need to go into the contact history. This bar provides a quick way of accessing your attachments. The bar supports natively a number of common office document formats with more type support planned for the future.

3 How to add the bar

The bar is a question type. In your form, add a question of type "Attachments Bar". Name the question something that will easily allow you recognise it as the attachments bar.

It is a question so that you can reorder the bar to anywhere in your script. You can also place it in Section Groups in Inline tabs if you need to.

The bar itself remains hidden if there are no attachments. It only displays the bar IF there is an an attachment to display.
