For different industries you may see acronyms at the end of people's names. These qualifications are for various things. This page attempts to demystify those acronyms and make it easy to trace where to go to get them.
The reason this article is here is for internal All n One Limited use to better understand where the qualifications come from and what they represent.

- QQI: Quality and Qualifications Ireland which replace HETAC and FETAC
- HETAC: Higher Education and Training Awards Council
- FETAC: Further Education and Training Awards Council
- NFQ: National Framework of Qualifications. http://www.nfq-qqi.com/
- Cert: Certificate
- Dip: Diploma
- BA, BSc: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science. Competent in the academic approach.
- MA, MSc: Master of Arts, Master of Science. Has introduced one new piece of knowledge to the world.
- PhD: Latin for "Philosophiae Doctor", Doctor of Philosophy. Has introduced four or more new pieces of knowledge to the world.
- SQA: Scottish Qualifications Authority
- SCQF: Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework. SCQF Level 10 is comparable to NQF/QCF Level 6 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
