Project: PowerBar. An interface bar which allows a status bar to be drawn on the the main menu

Numerous users of bxp have requested that a status bar showing various totals, be available to be displayed on the Main Menu. This status bar is now available and can be created using a new subsection of the Control Bar module.

Title: the name to appear on the PowerBar on the Main Menu

Target Count: The target count to be reached

Show Footer: The informational footer bar

Footer: A custom footer message. If left blank a system generated footer will be placed below the PowerBar

Bar Colour Type: There are currently two colour bar types, from Red to Green (warning to safe) and from Blue to Red (cold to hot)

Width Percentage: Choosing 50 will allow two bars to fit side by side. 100 will generate a single bar the width of the page.

3.2 PowerBar Count Details

Audience: The option current is only for My, but will include, My Team, My Department and All

Campaign / Database: The database / campaign in which the numbers can be calculated or generated.

Sum / Count: Type of maths to be done.

  • Sum Field: If summing a field, this is the field to be summated. This will usually be a sale value field or other numeric field.
  • Outcome: If counting is done on an outcome, please selected the outcome to count by.

Period: The window on which the data will be generated.

Custom Rules: Allows for explicit customisation of the rules in each PowerBar

Group by Fields: Where a group by statement is required. i.e. if an agent marks two outcomes of sold to one customer in the chosen period, that should count as 1 sale, not two. Group by would display this as 1 sale.

Fields marked with an * only appear on the edit screen once a campaign has been selected and saved for the PowerBar.

4 Security

For a PowerBar to appear each user must be given permission to access the specific item. This is done by using the “Security – Add Users to PowerBar” menu option.

A PowerBar can be removed from a user by using the “Security – Remove Users from a PowerBar” menu option.
