As system champion, you may need to import records into a particular campaign in the system.
Load Data Records - Quick Upload
- An Excel spread sheet is used to import data into BE.
- The file will be imported ONLY if the headings in the Spread sheet are mapped to the New Column Names in the Database - Field Management part of the campaign.
- This is VERY important for the successful upload of records.
- Mathematical functions, for example &, /, % must be avoided.
- The formatting of the text in the import file must be accurate also.
- Refer back to Field Mapping – Manage (Database – Field Mapping).
- Load Data Records – File Quick load is used to browse for a specific file on your PC and upload it successfully into BE.
- When the file has been uploaded, the system allows you to verify that the New Column Name in the field mapping section is correctly mapped to the heading names in the spread sheet.
- If the headings match, the system will show Yes beside the field names and these records can then be uploaded successfully.
- If they do not match, the system will show No beside the field names and these records will not be uploaded successfully.
- If you are sure that all the data is correct, there is no need to verify and you can simply upload the file.
