From time to time it may happen that a user cannot log in, being shown an error indicating that their profile is locked. The main reason that this happens is if the user's password is entered incorrectly. The default is set to three incorrect entries.

The default is set to three incorrect entries.   = How does a client system has user get locked out? =  There are a number of security settings that can see a user locked out.  * Scheduled inactivity lockout. This process will cause a custom event set user account to automatically log users be locked out after X days of inactivity. You can see your current system setting here [[System_Id_and_Master_Settings#Security_Options_-_Lockout]]  * Incorrect login attempts. These are usually from a set time period, users wrong IP address that want to use isn't approved or if you put your password in wrong beyond what the system after that defined period, will also need to be unlockedallows. == Solution ==
 
The solution is very simple
1) Go to the ''Main Menu > System Access Menu (SAM) Management [[File:016.png|bottom]] | > User Setup Requests | > Release Lockout'' 
2) Tick the box beside the user in question, scroll to the bottom and save
NOTE: If the following message "No accounts are currently locked out", then either the user has already been unlocked, or the users issue lies elsewherein logging is down to another reason. Try here for more help [[Troubleshooting_-_User_Logins]]
