There are many short cut key combinations available in Windows. Here are some of the handiest that we use:


  • Holding dow the Windows key and tapping PrintScreen, will snapshot the entire screen and save it as a picture in My Pictures


  • Holding down Alt and tapping the PrintScreen button the keyboard, will take a snapshot of just the current window


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping A on the keyboard is the "Select All" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping C on the keyboard is the "Copy" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping F on the keyboard is the "Find" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping P on the keyboard is the "Print" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping V on the keyboard is the "Paste" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping X on the keyboard is the "Cut" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping Y on the keyboard is the "Redo" function


  • Holding down Ctrl and tapping Z on the keyboard is the "Undo" function


  • Pressing the tab key moves the cursor to the next field for speed
