An eCourse is a structure that holds information of any kind usually for the purposes of training or operational support. The information is stored in roughly the structure of Book, Chapter and Page. Each page can contain any amount of information in a broad range of formats, from text to images, audio recordings, multimedia, PDF documents, Word Documents or almost anything else you care to upload.
bxp is not an authoring tool. It does not make videos or draw pictures. It is a Learning Management System (LMS) for managing content and users.
bxp follows international standards in construction, specifically SCORM. SCORM has a number of versions.
