Outcome Security enables a system where outcomes are only shown to the user if explicit security permission is granted to the user. When enabled the all users will have no outcomes by default. To gain an outcome access must be specifically granted to that user.
The process to enable outcome security is.
- Enable outcome security. This is done by going Main Menu > Database Management > Database - Primary Management > Campaign - Edit > Select the database > Open Advanced Options > Set "Use Outcome Security" to True. Scroll to the bottom and click "Update". Outcome security has now been enabled.
- Administration of the security is done through Main Menu > Database Management > Outcome Access. The management of which follows below:
In the section Database - Outcome Access, the following functionality occurs:
- Outcome - Profile access to an Outcome
- Outcome - Single User grant access
- Outcome - Multiple User grant access
- Outcome - Multiple User remove access
Contents
1 Outcome - Profile access to an Outcome
- Select the campaign from the list.
- Select the Outcome from the list of outcomes provided.
- Click on profile outcome.
- A list of users with access to this outcome will be returned to the screen.
2 Outcome - Single User grant access
- Select the outcome from the dropdown list.
- Select the user in which you would like to grant access to.
- Click Store Assignment.
- This user have now been granted access to this outcome.
3 Outcome - Multiple User grant access
- Select the campaign.
- Select the outcome you wish to grant multiple users access.
- Check the box beside the users you wish to add to this Outcome.
- Alternatively, select all users by simply clicking on the Select All button at the top of the page.
- These users have now been granted access to this Outcome.
4 Outcome - Multiple User remove access
- Select the campaign.
- Select the Outcome.
- Check the box beside the users you wish to remove from this Outcome.
- Save and Continue.
- These users have now been removed from this Outcome.
