bxp has always provided users with the functionality of uploading ability to upload and attaching attach a file to a data record (CDA) by adding it to the ''contact history'' of a record (CCL). Users have the ability to download these the attached files attached to data records by opening the contact history for the on a record the file was attached too and clicking on the download link.

Previously , this was the only way to download file attachments assigned to records. Now bxp users, now users of bxp as well as no non bxp users can download a file attached to a data record by the use of using a custom hyperlink. This allows users of bxp to get a hyperlink to of a file attachment and send it onto on to any other bxp user or non bxp user they wish.
