1 Overview
The Contacts feature enables the system to track any time a Customer or Prospect has been interacted with. Contacts can be made one of two ways:
- By interacting with the record(Initial add, changing status, updating details etc.)
- By manually adding a contact via the Contacts Made tab.
This article will cover how to add a contact manually and view a records contact history.
2 Contacts Made
The Contacts Made tab displays all of the existing contact information for a Prospect or Customer, and allows for manually adding new contacts and reviewing a records full contact history. To access it, first open the Prospect or Customer who's contact history you want to review, then open the Contact History Tab.
The tab also displays an overview report detailing the total number of contacts submitted for this record.
3 Adding a Contact
To manually add a contact, click on the Create New Contact button under the Contacts Made tab, as demonstrated above. This will forward you to the Create A Contact interface. Most of the details will be filled in automatically directly from the Prospect or Customer record, so only the contact type and details need to be manually defined. Once you have filled in all details, click on Save Contact to proceed.
4 View Contact History
To view the Contact History, click on the View Existing Contacts button. All Contacts associated with this Prospect/Customer will be displayed for review. Note how both manually submitted contacts as well as automatically logged contacts such as record creation as logged displayed.
Clicking on the open button in the far left hand column of the list will display full information for that specific Contact.
