1 Overview

Realex payments have recently invested in updating the security of their payment interface.

While this does not affect the more modern browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, however it does affect Internet Explorer versions 6 through 10.

2 Browser Fixes

The update to Realex means that the browser needs to support TLS 1.2, all browsers above Internet Explorer 8 support TLS 1.2 but it is not always turned on.

In order to fix this a setting needs to be enabled in the browser.

2.1 Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11

In order to enable TLS 1.2 in Internet Explorer it will need to be enabled in the browser settings.

Open up the browser and find the settings / tools option.

Then select internet options.

Select the **Advanced** tab and scroll down to the security options and find TLS 1.2.

Make sure that TLS 1.2 is ticked.
