Pending Users

bxp software (bxp) has the ability to create Pending Users.

There is often a lot of information that needs to be entered for a new user. There is a special section in System Access Management which allows people other than the System Champion to create a user, but this user will not be made live immediately.

This approach allows the System Champion to then go in and approve a user, without having to do a lot of work setting up options.

The approach is managed when the user access Main Menu > System Access Management > User Setup Requests > Request New User. The process will continue as per the normal Create A User process in bxp, but the status is forced to be Pending and cannot be changed.

Upon addition of the user an email is generated and sent to the System Champion informing them that a user has been created and needs to be approved (Status = live) or denied (Status = retired).

The report below Request New User, allows the person doing the requesting to see if their user has been made live or not.
