Database - Data Cleaning

In the section Database - Data Cleaning, the following functionality occurs:
- Remove duplicate records
- Remove blank records
- Remove redundant / Orphan records
- Single Field Update - All records
- Data Field - Case Management
- Data Field - Convert Title to Numeric
- Data Field - Convert County to Numeric
- Campaign - Consolidate
Contents
1 Remove Duplicate Records
- Choose the campaign.
- Choose the fields on which to base this removal of records on, from the list provided.
- The duplicate records that match the fields chosen, will now be removed from the database.
- Click Delete Duplicates.
2 Remove Blank Records
- Choose the campaign.
- Choose the fields on which to base this removal of records on, from the list provided.
- The blank records that match the fields chosen, will now be removed from the database.
- Click Delete Blanks.
3 Remove redundant / orphan records
- Choose the campaign.
- Delete the redundant / orphan records from the database.
- Newer records that have been uploaded will not be deleted.
4 Single Field Update - All records
- Choose the campaign.
- Select the fields to update the records.
- Enter the value to replace the current contents of this field in the text box provided.
- Update all records in this campaign.
5 Data Field - Case Management
- Choose the campaign.
- Select the fields to include.
- Reformat the fields that have been selected for this campaign by clicking on the Reformat fields button.
6 Data Field - Convert Title to Numeric
- Choose the campaign.
- Choose the fields in which to convert to numeric.
- Choose whether the fields with unrecognised records will be wiped, by choosing True or False.
- Choose whether the report generated will show on the screen if it fails.
- Click on Reformat fields.
7 Convert County to Numeric
- Choose the campaign.
- Choose the fields in which to convert to numeric.
- Choose whether the fields with unrecognised records will be wiped, by choosing True or False.
- Choose whether the report generated will show on the screen if it fails.
- Click on Reformat fields.
8 Campaign Consolidate
- Choose the campaign.
- This campaign is the campaign TO which the records will be sent.
- Now choose the campaign FROM which the records will be moved.
- A screen displaying the consolidation options is displayed:
- Erase data from - (Campaign name).
- Create a contact record for the consolidation - (True/False).
- Transfer Method - (Append or Match).
- Choose which field contains the unique matching Id from (Campaign Name).
- Choose which field contains the unique matching Id from (Campaign Name).
