1 Introduction

From time to time it may happen that a user cannot log in, being shown an error indicating that their profile is locked. The main reason that this happens is if the user's password is entered incorrectly. The default is set to three incorrect entries.

NOTE: If a client system has a custom event set to automatically log users out after a set time period, users that want to use the system after that defined period, will also need to be unlocked


2 Solution

The solution is very simple

1) Go to the System Access Menu (SAM) 016.png | User Setup Requests | Release Lockout

2) Tick the box beside the user in question, scroll to the bottom and save


NOTE: If the following message "No accounts are currently locked out", then either the user has already been unlocked, or the issue lies elsewhere
