Unlock Users
From All n One's bxp software Wixi
1 Introduction
From time to time it may happen that a user cannot log in, being shown an error indicating that their profile is locked.
The main reason that this happens is if the user's password is entered incorrectly. The default is set to three incorrect entries.
2 How does a user get locked out?
There are a number of security settings that can see a user locked out.
- Scheduled inactivity lockout. This process will cause a user account to be locked out after X days of inactivity. You can see your current system setting here System_Id_and_Master_Settings#Security_Options_-_Lockout
- Incorrect login attempts. These are usually from a wrong IP address that isn't approved or if you put your password in wrong beyond what the system allows. You can see your current system setting here System_Id_and_Master_Settings#Security_Options_-_Lockout
3 Solution
The solution is very simple
1) Go to the Main Menu > System Access Management > User Setup Requests > Release Lockout
2) Press the button beside the user in question and this will unlock that account.
NOTE: If the following message "No accounts are currently locked out", then either the user has already been unlocked, or the users issue in logging is down to another reason. Try here for more help Troubleshooting_-_User_Logins
