Overview

The Breadcrumb is a system term for a navigational aid that can help a user figure out where they are an provide an easy way back to "Home" i.e. the Main Menu.

Named after the story of Hansel and Gretel, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hansel_and_Gretel, where Hansel goes into a forest and leaves a trail of break crumbs behind him to be able to follow them to get home and out of the forest.
